ethernet/optical type media converter using WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, which is equipped with one 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 port (PoE 802.3af output) and single- mode with SC connector.

With an optical transmission distance of up to 20 km and 802.3af PoE output, this media converter was designed for the needs of flexible installation of a surveillance system over optical lines. It provides a cost-effective option when you need to extend the distance of an existing network.

The TL-FC111PB-20 uses Wavelength Multiplexing (WDM) technology to help send and receive data over a distance of up to 20km using a singlemode optical cable. The device sends data at a wavelength of 1310 nm and receives data at a wavelength of 1550 nm of the optical cable. Therefore, the terminal used in conjunction with the TL-FC111PB-20 unit should transmit data at a wavelength of 1550 nm and receive data at a wavelength of 1310 nm. Another media converter from the TP-Link range, model TL-FC111A-20, is an example of a unit that works with the TL-FC111PB-20\ module. In addition, this media converter can be used as a stand-alone device (without a rack) or together with the TP-Link TL-FC1420 rack.
