2N Access Unit M RFID 13.56 MHz — access reader

Reliability, security and easy installation are key for access systems in modern office buildings or other facilities. 2N Access Unit M RFID 13.56 MHz combines the functions of an integrated controller and reader, eliminating the need for constant communication with a server. Thanks to PoE 802.3af support, which provides power and data transmission via a single UTP cable, it greatly simplifies installation, especially on narrow door frames thanks to its compact dimensions 133 × 50 × 27 mm. Support for MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 cards with 2N PICard encryption provides maximum protection against copying.

Security and compatibility

The device is designed with an emphasis on security and flexible integration. It supports a wide range of RFID standards at a frequency of 13.56 MHz, such as ISO14443A, PicoPass (HID iClass), FeliCa and NFC, ensuring compatibility with various access cards and technologies. Integrated logic allows local decision-making, eliminating server dependency and increasing system security. Management is easy thanks to the secure web interface or 2N Access Commander software.

Durability and easy installation

The tempered glass front panel and IP54 and IK07 protection protect the device from damage and allow installation indoors and outdoors, even in harsh conditions with temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C and humidity up to 95%. Thanks to the 2.9m Ethernet pigtail with RJ-45 connector, installation is easy even on metal door frames and in suspended ceilings. Cat5e or better recommended cabling ensures reliable operation.
