2N Access Unit M RFID — multi-frequency reader

Environments where different user groups use cards of different standards require a flexible and compact solution. 2N Access Unit M RFID combines an RFID reader and an access controller in one device that supports cards at frequencies of 125 kHz (EM4xxx) and 13.56 MHz (ISO14443A, PicoPass, HID iClass, NFC, FeliCa). Secure MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 cards encrypted with 2N PICard technology protect against unauthorized copying, ensuring maximum security. Thanks to the integrated PoE power supply and slim design with IP54 and IK07 protection, it is ideal for installation on door frames even in more demanding outdoor conditions.

Flexible operation and security

The reader is equipped with an integrated access controller that allows local access decisions even if the connection to the server fails. This guarantees uninterrupted operation in critical situations. Support for both RFID frequencies (125 kHz and 13.56 MHz) allows the use of different card types, which is ideal for environments with multiple user groups. 2N PICard encryption technology provides protection against card misuse and copying.

Easy installation and power supply

Reader installation is quick and efficient thanks to support for power supply via PoE 802.3af (class 0, up to 12.95 W) or alternatively 12 V/1 A DC. The device includes a 2.9 m long cable terminated with an RJ-45 connector, which facilitates wiring even in difficult areas such as metal door frames or suspended ceilings. Recommended Cat-5e cabling or higher contributes to a problem-free network connection.
