Ubiquiti Wave Pico — Powerful PtMP Solution

For demanding environments and reliable connectivity, the Ubiquiti Wave Pico is the ideal client solution for 60 GHz point-to-multipoint (PtMP) installations. With a maximum range of 1.3 km when used with a Wave AP and throughput of up to 2 Gbps (1 Gbps duplex) in the 60 GHz band, it provides high-speed connectivity even in dense urban areas. The fallback 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with throughput of up to 800 Mbps ensures stable connectivity even in the event of interference or outages. Integrated Bluetooth allows for easy setup via the UISP mobile app, which greatly simplifies management. It also supports PoE power for simple installation.

Performance and Connectivity

The Ubiquiti Wave Pico is designed to provide exceptional performance even over longer distances. With support for the 60 GHz band, it offers a fast and stable connection with minimal interference, which is ideal for densely populated areas. The backup 5GHz Wi-Fi 6 technology ensures reliability even in the event of interference in the main band. Up to 2 Gbps throughput (1 Gbps duplex) in the main band provides sufficient capacity for data transfer, while 800 Mbps in the backup band ensures connection continuity.

Easy installation and management

The device is equipped with integrated Bluetooth, which allows for quick setup via the UISP mobile application. Alternatively, management can be carried out via a standard web interface. Power supply via PoE 48V DC simplifies installation in places where the electrical network is not easily accessible. Thanks to the bracket for poles with a diameter of 20 to 53 mm, the installation is flexible and adaptable to different environments.

Legislation and certification in the Czech Republic

Ubiquiti Wave Pico is certified according to the ETSI EN 303 722 standard and is intended for client installations in point-to-multipoint networks. The device can be operated in accordance with the general authorization VO-R/12. Before putting it into operation, it is necessary to register the device on the 60ghz.ctu.cz portal to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
