This feature ensures better bass control and texture, more energy in the upper midrange, while maintaining an open and natural sound expression. However, if you want universal use, ActivEQ can simply be turned off.

Performance and flexibility

With the PowerMatch® function, offering four gain levels (0 / 6 / 12 / 18 dB), the amplifier is able to adapt to a wide range of headphones, from low-impedance to highly sensitive models. The XBass® and XSpace® analog circuits further enrich the sound with deeper bass and a wider spatial stage, which you will especially appreciate when listening to music with rich details.

Connectivity and compatibility

The amplifier is equipped with a wide range of inputs and outputs for maximum compatibility. To connect signal sources, you have RCA (single ended), 3.5 mm analog input and 4.4 mm balanced input. Headphones can be connected via 6.3 mm single ended output or 4.4 mm balanced output, while there is also a 4.4 mm balanced line out for connecting active speakers.

Power and upgradeability

The amplifier is powered by an external 5V adapter, which is included in the package. However, for even better performance, you can upgrade the power supply using the iFi iPower or iPower X adapters. This option ensures that the device meets even the most demanding requirements for power purity and stability.
