The Ubiquiti UniFi Motion Sensor wireless motion sensor is designed to integrate into the UniFi Protect system and offers reliable motion detection with minimal maintenance. It uses proprietary SuperLink technology with a range of up to 2 km, ensuring a stable connection even in large buildings or outdoor installations. The dual PIR sensors cover up to 1.5 m horizontally and up to 6 m vertically, while ignoring the movement of animals smaller than 0.5 m when properly mounted. Thanks to low power consumption and power supply by a high-quality CR123A lithium battery, the sensor can last up to 6 years under normal use.

Wireless technology and range

The sensor is equipped with SuperLink technology, which operates at frequencies of 865.1-869.5 MHz (EU) or 915.6-927.6 MHz (US), with a maximum transmitter power of 14 dBm and an antenna gain of 1 dBi. Thanks to these parameters, it provides a connection range of up to 2 km, which allows installation even in remote locations without the need for complex cabling.

Reliable detection and pet immunity

The device has two PIR sensors for accurate motion detection. The vertical sensor with a range of 6 m offers the pet immunity function, which ignores animal movement up to 0.5 m, which minimizes false alarms in households with animals. The horizontal sensor with a range of 1.5 m is ideal for close areas and ensures coverage even in more complicated spaces.

Energy efficiency and long life

Powered by a CR123A (3 V) lithium battery and energy-saving mode, it can last up to 6 years with an average of 10 detections per day. The maximum consumption is only 22.6 mW, which ensures long-term operation without frequent battery replacement. This solution is ideal for users looking for a simple but effective motion sensor.

Easy installation and management

Compact dimensions (93.5 × 24.7 × 22.5 mm for wall mounting) and low weight (45 g) allow for discreet installation on a wall or in a corner using adhesive or screws. The sensor is fully integrated into the UniFi Protect system and can be managed via the web or mobile application for iOS™ and Android™. There is also a function button for quick synchronization with the system and an LED indicator to display the device status.
