Xtend Solarmi DS240S-280DC

Surge arrester designed for the protection of photovoltaic devices. Due to the nominal input voltage of 280 V and max. voltage of 350 V, it is suitable for use with GridFree GF-SUN solar controllers and inverters. Max. operating current 50 A (gL/gG type fuses). The surge arrester includes a thermal disconnector, a varistor with a thermal fuse, an optical fault indication and remote signaling of the arrester status. The arrester is mounted on a DIN rail and has a modular structure - a basic part and exchangeable modules. The replaceable module enables easy and quick replacement of a damaged part.

The surge arrester DS240S-280DC is designed to protect small and medium-sized island photovoltaic power plants with a maximum input of 350 V. It serves as the main protection of the system against overvoltage peaks caused by, for example, lightning strikes. The installation is carried out on the line from the solar panels before entering the controller or inverter. It is connected to these devices in parallel with ground.

The surge protector will divert the potential of the surge through the grounding terminal block to ground, thus protecting other equipment in the system.
