XtendLan 500m Fiber Lead — Singlemode Measurement Tool

When measuring optical paths using an OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer), the key solution is the so-called dead zone, which can distort the results. This 500m fiber lead is designed to eliminate these errors by including a long segment before or after the measured path. Thanks to 9/125 µm singlemode fiber (G652D), maximum accuracy and compatibility with common optical networks are ensured. Accurate path measurement with dead zone elimination

The lead fiber allows the user to accurately read the beginning of the measured path, which is crucial for fault location. Similarly, if you insert it at the end of the path, it eliminates uncertainties associated with undefined termination, for example when there is a free connector at the end. This leads to more accurate results and more reliable route length determination.
