Bluetooth

You can set up, view the status and configure the Blue Smart IP65 charger via your smartphone. You can even control the charger's functions using the VictronConnect app. The default value of voltage and current is displayed on the screen. You can download the VictronConnect app for free from Google Play or the App Store. This application is not yet available for Windows mobile phones.

Regeneration

A lead-acid battery that has already been undercharged or left discharged for days or weeks will deteriorate due to sulfation. If detected early, sulfation can sometimes be partially reversed by low-current charging before the battery reaches a higher voltage.

Recovery function for completely discharged batteries

Most reverse polarity protected chargers do not recognize batteries discharged to zero or near zero voltage and therefore will not start charging them. However, the Blue Power Charger will try to charge even a completely discharged battery with a low current and thus resume normal charging as soon as sufficient voltage appears on the battery terminals.

Ultra highly efficient "green" battery charger

At up to 94% efficiency, these chargers produce up to 4x less heat than the industry standard. When the battery is fully charged, the power consumption is reduced to 0.5W, which is 5x to 10x better than the common standard.

Long service life, safety and quiet operation

• Low temperature load of electronic components.

• Overheat protection: the output current will decrease as the temperature rises up to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.
• The chargers are completely silent: they do not contain an active cooler (fan) or other moving parts.

Storage mode: less corrosion of positive electrodes

Even the lower sustain charging voltage that follows the absorption phase can cause grid corrosion. It is therefore absolutely necessary to continue reducing the charging voltage if the battery remains connected to the charger for more than 48 hours.

Charging with temperature compensation

The optimal charging voltage for a lead-acid battery varies inversely with its temperature. The Blue Power IP65 Charger measures the ambient temperature during the test phase and compensates for it during charging. The temperature will be measured again when the charger is in low current mode during maintenance or storage. Therefore, there is no need for special settings for cold or hot environments.

Charging mode for Li-ion batteries

The Blue Power Charger uses a special charging algorithm with automatic resetting of undervoltage protection for Li-ion batteries (for Li-ion (LiFePO4) batteries). Normal charging voltage mode 14.4 V - suitable for gel and AGM batteries. High charging voltage mode 14.7 V - suitable for open top-up liquid batteries
