Victron Argo BCD 802 Diode Interconnect
Diode connector for parallel connection of batteries and supply of common appliances, maximum current 80 A, for 2 batteries and 12/24 V systems. These battery couplers provide uninterrupted DC power to equipment for critical applications such as electronic engine control systems. A diode battery coupler connects two or more DC power supplies in parallel to power a critical load. In the event of a failure of one of the power supplies, the power supply to the critical load will not be interrupted.
ARGO diode connectors enable the parallel connection of two batteries to power a common consumer. With the use of an interconnector, there is no risk of unwanted mutual self-discharge of connected batteries due to unidirectional current flow. Built-in Schottky rectifier diodes have a very small voltage drop. At low current, the drop is approx. 0.3 V, at larger consumptions a maximum of 0.45 V.
