Non-invasive inductive sensor for measuring alternating current up to 100 A with a voltage output of 1 V

This current sensor allows for simple and safe measurement of alternating current without the need to interrupt the measured circuit. The sensor simply attaches to a single wire and immediately provides a voltage output proportional to the current flowing through it. Thanks to the integrated load resistor, it offers a direct voltage output of 1 V AC at a maximum current of 100 A.

The sensor is terminated with a standard 3.5mm jack connector, which makes it easy to connect to Arduino platforms or other measurement systems. Ideal for monitoring energy consumption, home automation or industrial applications.

Principle of operation

The sensor works on the principle of induction - it measures the magnetic field created by alternating current flowing through the conductor. For proper operation, the sensor must be applied to only one conductor (phase or neutral). When applied to both conductors at the same time, the magnetic fields cancel each other out and the sensor will not indicate any value.

Practical use

The sensor can be used to measure the consumption of electrical appliances, monitor solar systems or as part of smart electricity meters. Thanks to the analog output, it can be connected to the analog inputs of Arduino controllers or LAN controller v3.
