Precision digital power monitor with integrated current sensor and 16-bit delta-sigma ADC

INA740 is a specialized sensor designed for precise measurement of electrical parameters in industrial and IoT applications. The device can measure bidirectional currents up to ± 24 A (connector limit, the chip itself can handle up to ± 35 A) while supporting common voltages up to 85 V. Thanks to its high accuracy and wide measurement range, it is ideal for monitoring energy consumption, system diagnostics and performance optimization.

The sensor provides comprehensive measurements including current, bus voltage, chip temperature, power and energy consumed. Communication is via I2C bus and the RJ connector is compatible with tinycontrol devices, while the sensor is supported by the LK4 controller.

Universal connectivity and integration

The sensor's RJ connector is compatible with Tinycontrol devices and the sensor is supported by the LK4 controller. For integration with other controllers (e.g. Arduino), it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the RJ connector pinout, which is described, for example, in the LK4 short manual.

Flexible I2C Addressing

The sensor board is equipped with a 4-position switch that allows you to change the I2C address. This allows you to operate up to 4 sensors on a single I2C bus, a feature available with the LK4 controller.

Easy Installation

The sensor supports mounting on a standard 35mm DIN rail, which makes it easy to install in industrial switchboards and control systems. The device is compatible with 0.5-2 mm (12-24 AWG) wires for flexible wiring.

The sensor should be connected according to the diagram, for voltage measurement (and of course power and energy) the LK4 ground and the load ground must be common! In the case of an isolated system, only current measurement can be performed
