For demanding networks where maximum efficiency and minimum cabling costs are a priority, comes the MikroTik S+2733LC10D. This SFP+ optical module supports BiDi technology, which enables bidirectional data transmission over a single optical fiber by using different wavelengths (1270 nm and 1330 nm). With a range of up to 10 km, it is ideal for large-scale networks and long-distance connections. The module is also equipped with built-in digital diagnostics (DDM), which ensures reliable monitoring of key parameters, which facilitates management and maintenance.

Efficient data transmission with BiDi technology

The main advantage of BiDi technology is the use of a single optical fiber for bidirectional transmission, which reduces the cost of cable infrastructure. Each module transmits on one wavelength and receives on the other, which ensures stable and efficient transmission. Output optical power of -8.2 to +0.5 dBm and receiver sensitivity (OMA) of -14.4 dBm ensure reliable communication even with higher path attenuation.

Built-in digital diagnostics

MikroTik S+2733LC10D is equipped with a DDM function that continuously monitors optical power, supply voltage, module temperature and laser diode current. This function allows for rapid detection of abnormal conditions and minimizes the risk of network outages. Thanks to user-defined limits, service interventions can be proactively planned.

Electrical interface and signal detection

The differential output voltage of the receiver ranges from 350 to 800 mVpp at 100Ω termination, which ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices. The module supports the LOS (Loss of Signal) function with 0.5 to 5 dB hysteresis, which indicates signal loss. The LOS signal is implemented as LVTTL logic, where logical 0 indicates normal operation and logical 1 indicates the absence of an optical signal.
