Laminating foil protects documents against moisture, dust and dirt, thus extending their lifespan. In addition, it will prevent any interference with the content of documents. Laminating photos will also improve their color. In the unlaminated state, the foil is glued on one side with a paper carrier, which covers the adhesive side at normal room temperature. After the foil is passed through the laminator when hot, this paper carrier is manually separated. This creates a "sticker". The laminated document can be glued to any smooth surface. Compared to the standard paper format size, they have an overlap of 3 mm on the sides.
