When upgrading an existing infrastructure with 2-wire cabling, it is essential to maintain transmission quality and minimize the need for new installations. 2N Clip 2wire-IP Switch allows you to connect up to 6 2N Clip 2wire-IP units and provide power and data transfer via powered 2-wire ports with speeds of up to 10 Mbps. Thanks to passive 2-wire ports (100 Mbps), devices can be cascaded and the network can be expanded to larger installations. One of the LAN ports with support for the PoE 802.3af standard (up to 25 W) allows flexible power supply directly from the PoE switch, eliminating the need for external sources.

Flexible connectivity and expandability

This switch is designed to seamlessly integrate existing 2-wire cabling with a modern IP network. Two LAN ports (10/100BaseT) with RJ-45 connectors facilitate connection to the IP infrastructure. 6 powered 2-wire ports ensure direct connection of devices, while 2 passive ports allow expansion to additional switches. All this makes the 2N Clip 2wire-IP system scalable and ideal for large-scale installations in residential or commercial buildings.

Easy installation and operational reliability

Designed for easy mounting on a DIN rail in electrical cabinets, the device complies with the IP20 protection level, ensuring safe operation indoors. Cat5e or higher (24AWG) cabling is recommended, while the condition of the existing cabling must be verified before use. The switch is optimized for operation in the temperature range -10 to +50 °C with a relative humidity of 10 to 90% (non-condensing).
