We note that especially when implementing analog camera systems, it is advisable to ground all shielding and non-live conductive parts to a common potential, which is in the vast majority of cases the protective conductor. We recommend connecting the negative pole of the DC power supply to the protective conductor of the electrical distribution and also grounding all metal parts, shielding of coaxial cables, camera holders, etc. This is a basic measure against potential differences that deteriorate image quality. As well as basic protection against atmospheric overvoltage or dangerous touch voltages.
