UniFi 5G Max is an advanced LTE/5G modem designed to extend any UniFi Cloud Gateway or UniFi Gateway with reliable mobile connectivity. The device is instantly adopted via any PoE port and provides automatic setup without the need for complex configuration. With dual SIM support (with the option of using 2× nano SIM or namo SIM + eSIM), it provides a seamless failover solution for critical applications.

The modem supports a wide range of frequencies including 5G NR (n1-n79), 4G LTE (B1-B71) and 3G UMTS networks. Maximum transfer speeds reach 3.4 Gbps in 5G NSA mode for download and 650 Mbps for upload in 5G SA mode. The compact device measuring 180 × 109 × 33.8 mm and weighing 410 g is equipped with a 1.3" touchscreen for easy operation and four built-in mobile antennas.

Flexible operating modes

The device operates in Dual SIM Single Standby (DSSS) mode, where only one SIM card is active at a time. You can use either a combination of two physical nano SIM cards (UIM1 and UIM2), or one physical nano SIM and one eSIM. This setting allows automatic failover to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.

Integration with the UniFi ecosystem

UniFi 5G Max requires a UniFi Cloud Gateway or UniFi Gateway for its operation and cannot operate independently. It connects via any LAN port and directly passes the provider's IP address to the gateway, ensuring a seamless backup Internet connection without interrupting IP address allocation. Management is carried out via the UniFi Network version 10.0.162 application and later.

Mounting options

The package includes a table stand (215 g), a wall mount (7.6 g) and a window mount (20 g) for flexible placement according to the needs of the environment.
