In environments where early detection of smoke or dangerous temperature increases is key, the Planet LS100-SMK-868M smoke sensor offers a reliable and fast solution. When the temperature exceeds 60 °C, it activates an alarm, which minimizes the risk of fire. Thanks to LoRaWAN wireless technology, which operates at a frequency of 863-870 MHz, the sensor is suitable for integration into modern IoT applications such as building automation, smart metering, or agriculture. The compact design with IP20 protection and a battery life of up to 4.7 years ensures long-term operation with minimal maintenance.

Reliable smoke and temperature detection

The sensor is designed to quickly recognize smoke particles and high temperatures. The alarm is triggered when the temperature exceeds 60 °C, which is key in environments where there is a risk of fire. The siren volume reaches 85 dB, which ensures that the warning is audible even in larger spaces. This functionality makes the sensor ideal for use in commercial or industrial buildings.

Wireless connectivity and wide compatibility

Thanks to the support of the LoRaWAN class A protocol and the OTAA/ABP working mode, the device is fully compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways, including the PLANET LCG-300 series. This allows for easy integration into IoT systems and support for multiple sensors at once. Wireless transmission over distance is optimized with the 16 dBm transmitter power and the -136 dBm receiver sensitivity, which ensures reliability even in harsh conditions.

Physical resistance and easy installation

The sensor has an IP20 rating, which ensures dust protection and standard resistance for indoor areas. Power is provided by two 1.5V AAA batteries (not included), which allows flexible placement without the need to connect to a power source.
