GWL MC4-TOOL installation tool for MC4 connectors

GWL/ELERIX MC4-TOOL

This special installation tool is used for easy and perfect mounting of MC4 connectors on solar cables.

Assembly procedure

1. Insert the stripped part of the cable wire into the contact of the connector and crimp. Then insert the contact with the cable into the connector. Gently push the cable so that the contact fits into the correct position of the connector.
2. Screw in the cable gland and tighten with this tool. The recommended torque is 2.2Nm.
3. Connect the two connectors together. Check that the safety latches are properly seated by pulling on the connectors.
4. Press the locking tabs on the connector by hand, or use this tool to re-separate the connectors.
