The Ubiquiti UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is designed for professional use to provide up to 3.4 Gbps downloads on 5G NSA networks, offering high speeds for data-intensive applications. With Dual SIM Single Standby (DSSS) mode with support for nano SIM and eSIM, it provides automatic backup connections for maximum availability. The robust design with IPX6 protection, expandable to IP67, is resistant to adverse conditions, including temperatures from -40 °C to +65 °C. This device is ideal for integration into the UniFi ecosystem and ensuring reliability in any environment.

Connectivity and Compatibility

The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is equipped with one 2.5GbE RJ-45 Ethernet port that supports PoE, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. With support for 5G bands, including n77, n78, and n79 for Sub-6 GHz networks, the device achieves a maximum speed of 3.4 Gbps in NSA mode and 1.8 Gbps in SA mode. Backward compatibility with 4G LTE and 3G UMTS networks ensures connectivity even in areas without 5G signal coverage. For management, connection to the UniFi Cloud Gateway or UniFi Gateway is required, allowing for easy integration and remote configuration via the UniFi system.

Antennas and Performance

The device includes 6 integrated antennas, including two high-gain 9 dBi directional antennas optimized for the n77/n78 bands. These antennas provide wider coverage and better signal reception thanks to the 85° × 85° beam angle, which is key to stable performance even in challenging conditions. The maximum transmit power reaches 26 dBm for 5G and 25 dBm for 4G LTE, contributing to greater range and reliability of the connection.

Durability and Installation

The aluminum alloy and UV stabilized polycarbonate construction ensures high durability in outdoor environments. The IPX6 protection, which can be increased to IP67 with the included cable seal, protects the device even in heavy rain or dusty environments. The modem is tested for wind resistance up to 200 km/h, making it suitable for installations in remote or exposed locations. The option of mounting on a 25–63.5 mm pole or wall provides flexibility in installation.
