## Endpoint Reference (AI Shopping Agent API)

All endpoints are under `https://www.ropere.com/api/v1` unless noted otherwise. Full machine-readable schema: [OpenAPI 3.1 document](https://www.ropere.com/api/v1/openapi.json).

`POST /checkout/cart` returns a `cartAccessToken` alongside `cartId`. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer <cartAccessToken>` on every later call scoped to that cart (`GET`/`PATCH /checkout/cart/:id`, `POST /checkout/cart/:id/confirm`) — without it those calls return `CART_NOT_FOUND`.

## Rules for AI Shopping Agents

- Always use current data from these endpoints — do not cache prices or stock across a session; re-fetch before acting on them.
- Re-verify price and stock immediately before calling confirm. The server re-verifies too and rejects stale requests, but do not rely on values read earlier in the conversation.
- Never place an order without the shopper's explicit, current confirmation — `confirm` creates a binding purchase.
- Never request, store, or transmit card numbers, CVV/CVC codes, PINs, or banking login credentials. Payment happens exclusively on the hosted `paymentUrl` page returned by `confirm`.
- Ask a clarifying question when the shopper's request is ambiguous (size, quantity, color, budget) rather than guessing.
- When suggesting an alternative product (out of stock, better fit, lower price), disclose why you are suggesting it instead of the one requested.
